Published in the Raleigh NC - News & Observer 14 November 2004 Evelyn Sutton Littleton passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2004, at Rex Hospital. Born on October 2, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Corrina Sherron Sutton and the late David Brevard Sutton, Jr. She was a graduate of Sanderson High School and Peace College, and a faithful member of Brooks Avenue Church of Christ. A loving and devoted wife and mother of four wonderful children, Evelyn enjoyed participating in all activities surrounding her family. Her warm, contagious smile, her pleasant manner, and her genuine interest in people will be remembered by those who knew her. In Evelyn could be seen the fruits of the spirit as found in Galatians 5:22-23, for she possessed love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, fathfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Evelyn leaves to chrish her memory her husband, Thomas Young Littleton; three daughters, Laura, Amy and Sarah; and one son, David, all of the home. Her family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the nurses at Rex Hospital who so competently and lovingly provided care for Evelyn, and to the many wonderful friends, neighbors, co-workers and members of area churches of Christ who supported Evelyn and her family during these past months with their prayers, calls, cards, food, visits and time. A visitation will be held at Brooks Avenue Church of Christ on Tuesday evening, November 16 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held on Wednesday morning, November 17 at 11:00 a.m., also at the Brooks Avenue Church of Christ, 700 Brooks Avenue, Raleigh. Burial to follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. She was the love of our lives and we will miss her.
