My grandmother was Gladys Irene (Sutton) Harrison of Kokomo, IN, born in Carroll County. Her parents were Leanora (Shaffer) Sutton and George Albert Sutton, both of Carroll County, IN. George's parents were Thurmon (or very probably Thurman) Sutton and Harriet (not sure of maiden name) Sutton of Johnson County, IN. I have been unable to connect earlier than that and would really like to follow this line back as far as possible. I know that Thurman and Harriet probably had another son named Dan Sutton but I'm not even completely sure of that. No one from that generation is still living (to my knowledge) so no there's none to check with. Does anyone out there have info. on the Johnson County Indiana Suttons? I would be grateful. Thanks! From there I can track info on him. Nancy died in the early 1860's in Malden, but was also born in Ohio. Ferdinand's mother was born in Virginia. I believe that she was born Elizabeth Frazier (or Frazer, Frasier, or Fraser) in Culpepper, VA, but I have been unable to confirm that. I have a fair amount of information about the Suttons after they arrived in Malden, IL, but nothing prior to that. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
