Published in the Leesburg FL - Daily Commercial 2004-12-2 Mrs. Joan Marie Brown Sutton, age 73, of Hiawassee, Ga. passed away on December 01, 2004 following an extended illness. She was born to the late Lester and Anna (VanSickle) Brown on October 07, 1931 in Essex County, N.Y. and raised by Fred A. and Lila Belle Brown. She graduated from Potsdam High School. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, and had lived in Hiawassee, Ga. since 1986. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Charles Sutton, of Hiawassee, Ga.; daughters & sons-in-law, Nancy and Rev. Dan Davis, of Cartersville, Ga.; Kathleen and Don Lackey, of Wilmington, N.C.; Mary Beth Griffin, of Lake City, Fla.; Leslie and Raymond Lewis II, of Fruitland Park, Fla.; son & daughter-inlaw, Rev. Robert and Kim Sutton, of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Leona Perin of Potsdam, N.Y.; and sixteen grandchildren.
