Published in the Rockford IL, - Register Star 2004-11-7 Gary Wayne Sutton, 46 BARRY-Gary Wayne Sutton, 46 of Barry passed away Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in Hannibal (Mo.) Regional Hospital. Born June 21, 1958 the son of Ira and Frances Schnepf Sutton. Gary was diagnosed with cancer in November 2003, and fought with dignity and strength for the past year. Gary was employed for 23 years at Prince Manufacturing in Quincy. He also was a farmer. He attend Barry First United Methodist Church. Gary played pool in a local pool league and also enjoyed fishing, mushrooming and working with his livestock. Survivors include parents, Ira and Frances of Barry; brothers, Walter (Carrie) and David Sutton, both of Barry; sister, Mrs. James (Marilyn) Behresmeyer of Rockford; four nephews; two nieces; great- niece; and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Service was at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, in Barry First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Nancy Monahan and John Furniss officiating. Pallbearers were all Gary's family members and included Timothy and Christopher Behrensmeyer, Matthew, Adam and Kayla Sutton and Misty Blackorby. Burial was in Park Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to donor's choice. Lunch for family and friends was held at the church after the service.
