hello, in response to the post re charles jackson sutton, have you determined the origin of the middle name jackson? there was in mansfield twp., burlington co., nj a daniel sutton b. ca. 1680 died 1746 same place). he married mary jackson and several of the children carried the middle name jackson. john jackson sutton moved from nj to ulysses, new york where he died 1809. one of his sons, john sutton served as assemblyman in ulysses in 1817-1819. this same john sutton moved to live with his son in norwalk, ohio where he died 1840. a son of john sutton's was named andrew jackson sutton, b. 1815. his mother was sarah schuyler. this is all probably a coincidence but know this line moved from nj to ny. i am sorry i have no info on a charles jackson sutton. irene
