They had eleven children and are buried in Butler Hill Cemetery. I am descended from thier daughter Lucy Jane Sutton who married Leonard William Thompson. I would be delighted to exchange information. I'm trying to find out who Isaac's parents are. The 1880 census notes his father was born in NY and his mother in Rhode Island.
I am wanting to trace paternal roots and have almost no information. I am told my father's family was from Savannah, in the mid 1950's, some later moved to Atlanta. I am looking for information pertaining to her, James & their children. Mahala died before 1821 when Grandfather James married my fourth great grandmother Lenora Whitehurst in Montgomery County, Georgia. Mahala is said to have been closely related to a John A. Just a quick update concerning the out of office reply's. What ever has gone wrong also is affecting blocked mail which means my solution isn't working either. Please stay calm. I am trying to fix the problem. I have contacted Rootsweb and hope the problem will be resolved soon. Unfortunately that may take up to 48 hours. I've deleted this 8 times since late afternoon. Finally went to the tools section on my email client and put in a filter. Now anything that comes from Randy.Sutton goes straight into the trash bin.
