    2. Wowsers. Wish I could claim this family. Mine, however moved to MS. via St.Louis and Allegheny Co. Pa. Before that is a mystery. Suspect they came from New Jersey or New York, but no names or proof back before Phineas Sutton in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny Co. Pa. Can find him there as early as 1810, and his son Aaron back to 1790. If anyone has any information about this Sutton line, I'd love to chat with you. Thanks. 1. Re: [SUTTON] Mississippi Sutton Family Reunion
    2. Haven't heard about a Sutton Reunion in Mississippi, but might be interested in the research you were given. My Ms. Sutton clan begins with James Morris Sutton, early of Claiborne Co. and later of Greenville, Washington Co. Married to Eliza VanNorman first, then later to Laura Cross. Children were Thomas Jefferson Sutton, Benjamin Humphreys Sutton, and daughters Kate, Emaline, and Mary. Son Richard Cross died of disease early in the Civil War. Time period is early 1800's up through early 20th century. Will supply more specific dates if this is of interest. 1. Western NY Suttons; Robert Smith on Morris County?
    2. Speaking of western NY Suttons: <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> In decades after the Revolution, a number of interrelated families moved from northern <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />New Jersey to western New York. One may have been my ancestor, William Sutton (b.~ 1760), reportedly married to Mary Fancher, both of the Randolph-Mendham- Roxbury area of Morris County. He may have been the son of Amos Sutton & Jane Clawson of the Bedminster-Bernards area of adjoining Somerset County. He is probably the William Sutton listed in 1810 & 1820 censuses of Wayne, Steuben County, NY. I am searching for proofs of the above relationships. Robert Smith reported that the genealogy records of Mary ? of Morris County showed the Wm. Sutton/Mary Fancher marriage, but I have lost Mary’s last name, and have been unable to locate further information on her genealogy. Robert, are you still on the list? Regards, Caroline
