    3. Mark.. I have been searching for my grandfather, Mike (Michael?) Sutton. He was married to Alice F. Dale in the Albia/Fort Madison area but I am not sure of the year. My mother was born August 18, 1910 in Albia. I know nothing of my Sutton connection and when my mother was alive, it was not a subject to be discussed. I do have a picture of him with some family members, but that is it. Do you by chance have him in your database??? Thanks.. 1. John R. Sutton
    2. Researching John R. Sutton. I believe he is my ggggrandfather. He was an ensign in the Revolutionary War from SC. From the information I can find, he died in White County, GA. In his will of 1876, he names my gggrandfather, Jeremiah, as one of his administrators. There was also a brother, Jesse Sutton. Jeremiah Sutton lived in Harris County, GA. He was born in SC in 1797 and married Mary Ann Rickenbacker, also from SC. I know all about her ancestry. My BIG question is: Who exactly was Jeremiah's father? Was it John R. Sutton? If so, who was John R. Sutton's father? That is my broken link. Any information will be appreciated very much. However, some of the information on genealogy web sites is not proof of the connection of Jeremiah Sutton to John R. Sutton. Billie Sutton Jefferies

Sutton sent much info. about the Coombs family, but we have not been able to find out much detail on Jesse, his brother William, or others. Asbury's six brothers in the Civil War may have included Elias and Peter Barker his step-brothers, and younger brother Perry who went in at end of the war. That still leaves two? Any copies of photos would be appreciated. I only have copy of Asbury in older age. I do have pictures of Mary, Perry, John when they were younger.
