She was born April 19, 1920 in Herrick Center, PA, the daughter of the late William O. & Bertha Oakley Perrington. She attended New Milford High School in PA and relocated to the Corning area in 1942. Rachael and Clifford M. Sutton were married in Susquehanna, PA. He pre-deceased her on July 4, 1980. Her second marriage was with John R. Hall February 5, 1982 in St. Patricks Church, Corning. He died unexpectedly in the same automobile accident on Monday April 1, 2002. She was a retired employee of Corning Inc., working as an Inspector/Packer and a Planner in the Planning Dept., when she retired with 50+ years of service with the company. Rachael attended All Saints Parish. She truly loved others & life, loved traveling, dining out and was ready to shop in a minutes notice. She enjoyed flowers and growing plants. She is survived by her son: William H. (Anita) Sutton of Big Flats, NY and daughter; Sheila (William) Spak of Elmira, NY. Step son; John J. (Patrice Hall) of Corning and step daughter; Maureen (James) McCoy of Moscow, PA and step son-in-law; Thomas Wilsoncroft of Corning, NY. Mrs. Sutton was born in Hope, AR on December 22, 1905. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Luther Sutton, two sons, Eugene Sutton and Lynn Sutton, two daughters, Margie Paulk and Hazel Templeton. Mrs. Sutton is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Jean Sutton of Houston, Texas, two daughters and son-in-law, Ruth and Morrias Vanderbilt of Dallas, Texas, and June Sutton McMahan of Shreveport. A native of Norfolk, Mrs. Jordan was predeceased by her parents, George K. Sutton and Harriett Ball Sutton and her husband, William S. ``Buck'' Jordan. She retired from civil service, attended Green Lakes Baptist Church and was past president of Richard Dale Women's Club and Elizabeth River Garden Club. She was an avid duckpin bowler and bridge player. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Szarek Jackson and husband Andrew of Rice, Va., and Constance R. Stuart of Chesapeake; a sister, Jane Grady of Mount Prospect, Ill.; five grandchildren, Troy and Carol Stuart, Scott and Brittany Stuart, Tami and Michael Herrington, Gary and Sandie Weller, and Debra Whitaker; and 11 great-grandchildren. Born in in Abington, she was the daughter of Dorothy F. WARR SUTTON and the late Wilfred P. SUTTON. She was the wife of Robert W. PALME, for 27 years. Mrs. Palme graduated from Upper Dublin High School and Seton Hall College. She worked as a secretary in the Physical Therapy Department of Arcadia University. Mrs Palme was a member of the Special Olympics, the Colony Club of Ambler, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Along with her husband, Mrs Palme survived by two sons, Brian P. of Willow Grove and Steven J. of Fort Washington; a daughter Anne J. of Fort Washington; a sister,Peggy Hartzell of Pinegrove; and a brother, John Sutton of Lansdale. A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 28 at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Maple Glen. Interment was at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
