Surnames: Sutton Thompson Bryant Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wkQBAIB/1105.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Lizzie Sutton-Thompson-Bryant, is buried beside my husband's grandfather, William Bryant, in Old Panther Cemetery in Haskell County, OK. Lizzie's funeral record shows Buck Sutton as her father, Rogers as her mother's maiden name, her place of birth as Arkansas, her birth date as 8-21-1861 and her date of death as 4-12-1960, but her age at death as 93, which would indicate a birth date of closer to 1866. The 1910 census says she is 42, which would indicate a birth date of 1868, but I also ran across a post on Ancestry or somewhere, that said Lizzie Sutton was born in 1871(?) and lived to be 99, so who knows. I think the 1861 birth date and the age of 99 are probably closest to correct so her parents would have been born around 1840. The 1910 and 1920 census for Haskell County shows her parents were both from Tennessee.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wkQBAIB/2128.1 Message Board Post: Finding your messages was a thrill, as it is the first time I have found anything about my husband's family on the internet, although I was aware of the information given. He is a great-grandson of Solomon Sutton, through Frank's brother Lewis Fletcher Sutton. I have been searching for some time for the parents of the Reuben Sutton who married Anne Armstrong in Harford co., MD, in 1804. He is not the Reuben Sutton mentioned in Stephen's will. I think they may have been cousins. Solomon's father died in 1840 in Irwin twp, Venango co., PA. His and Anne's tombstone were on the family home plot in Irwin twp a few years ago, but may not be there now, as there has been a lot of stripmining in the area. They were quite readable. Stephen's estate was not settled until many years after his death, and his brother Reuben was involved beyond 1840. I would really like to correspond with you.
