All these cemeteries are in Whitley County, Kentucky Whitley county is located in the eastern coal field region in southeastern Kentucky along the border with Tennessee. It was formed from Knox county in 1818 and named for Col. William Whitley. The county seat is Williamsburg and the largest town is Corbin. The population of the county in 1990 was 33,326. Note: No mention of other family names in this obituary. Note: Casey House is an AIDS related hospice. - - -* * *- - - SUTTON, Joan Emily - Passed away peacefully on April 28, 2002 after a short illness. Born in London, England in 1929 Joan emigrated to Canada in 1967 and retired from the Hudson's Bay Company in 1994. She then volunteered at Casey House for 5 years. Joan will be remembered fondly by friends in Canada and abroad. Very special thanks to the 6th floor palliative care staff of the Toronto Grace Hospital. My Suttons in MS were all born in Gibson Co TN except the mother Sarah Eastrwood Sutton born in GA. The names I have are all girls except Jesse and possibly a John born 1830 and listed as a boatman in 1850.
