    3. Published in the Renton, Kent, Auburn, WA - South County Journal 2002-5-25 Elba B. Turk Elba Bell Turk of Kent died May 21, 2002, at Weatherly Inn, in Kent. She was 88. Born March 31, 1914, in Sand Point, Idaho, she lived most of her life in Great Falls, Mont., and Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, before moving to Kent three years ago. Mrs. Turk was the co-owner of Turk's Marina in Great Falls, Mont., for 24 years. She enjoyed cooking and playing pinochle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl F. Turk in 1998; and son, Thomas W. Sutton, II. She is survived by her daughters, Dolores Terry of Kent, Shirley Wight of Eureka, Calif., Ava Pedersen of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, and Nancy Auer of Great Falls, Mont.; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.     3. Published in the Sarasota, FL - Herald-Tribune 30 May 2002 Velma Boers Pond, 84, Mesa, Ariz., and formerly of Bradenton, died May 25, 2002. She was born Dec. 8, 1917, in Allegan, Mich., and came to Bradenton in 1981 from Portage, Mich. She moved to Mesa in 2001. She worked for the Portage School System for 30 years. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5855 Ladies Auxiliary in Portage and Women of the Moose, Portage Chapter 350 in Kalamazoo, Mich. Survivors include her husband, Floyd; daughters Loretta Tompkins of Ellenton and Jo Ann Tuttle of Sarasota; stepsons Dennis of Portage and Gerald of Mesa; a sister, Norma Jean Gould of Kalamazoo; a brother, Donald Sutton of Allegan; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 26th Street Chapel. The service will be private for the family. Burial will be in Ellenton.     3. Published in the Victoria, BC CAN - Times Colonist 2002-5-25 FREEMAN - Robert (Bob) Sutton, passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital on Thursday, May 23, at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by Caroline (Starling), his wife of 50 years. Survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Roberta (Bobbi) and Donald Johannessen of Victoria; sisters hope Crawford of White Rock and Grace Byron of New Westminster; sister-in-law Evalyn Freeman of Orangeville, Ontario and many nieces and nephews and their families. Bob was born on August 11, 1911 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, one of 10 children. He was a man of many talents, helping his father in the mason's trade, learning electrical wiring and becoming proficient at a variety of skills and trades. he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force on the Queen Charlotte Islands during the Second World War. The family moved to the Fraser Valley in 1946, living first in Whonnock and then moving to Mission, where Bob worked in the municipal office, advancing to Municipal Administrator for the Municipality of Mission, then serving in the same capacity in Maple Ridge, and eventually becoming Secretary to the Regional District of Dewdney-Allouette until his retirement in 1972. During his working years, bob was an active member of the Municipal Officers Association of B.C., serving on the board of directors for several years. After his retirement, he taught university level courses in municipal administration. Bob and Caroline enjoyed their retirement, taking many trips in their camper until Caroline developed diabetes. They moved to Victoria to be near Bobbi in 1985, and Caroline passed away in 1986. Bob remained in their house, expanding his garden, specializing in rhododendrons and vegetables. he belonged to the Victoria Rhododendron Society for many years, serving several terms as Treasurer. He also joined an exercise group at Henderson Recreation Centre, and made many good friends among the other patrons and staff. Special thanks to Dr. Chew and Rochelle, Doctors Pai and Cameron at VGH, and to all the nurses and staff in the Geriatric Assessment and Neurosciences WArds at VGH for all their care and support. Also many thanks to the staff of the Capital Health Region and Peninsula Community Services for making Bob's last months comfortable. A memorial service will be held at Sequoia Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, on Thursday, May 30, at 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to the heart and STroke Foundation, the ARthritis Society, or the Canadian Diabetes Society. Published in the St John's, NF CAN - Telegram May 19, 2002 SUTTON, Lucilla (nee Pennell) - Passed peacefully away on Friday, May 17, 2002 at Oceanview Rest Home, Trepassey in the presence of her loving family, Lucilla Sutton in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband, Vincent; brother Tom; sister Mame; nephew Michael; grandchildren Vincent and John. Left with loving memories are daughters, Kathleen (Con) and Eileen (Karl); grandchildren, Carleen (Jeff), Connie (Steve), Cindy (Clarence), Craig (Tanya), Janice (Dale); as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Fahey`s Funeral Home, Trepassey, on Sunday, May 19, 2002 from 1-10 p.m. Funeral on Monday, May 20, at 1 p.m. from Holy Redeemer Church, Trepassey, with interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Published in the Lorain, OH - Morning Journal May 26, 2002 Ruby Reihner Lorain - Ruby Reihner (nee Sutton), 80, of Lorain, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at Cleveland Clinic Hospital, Cleveland, following a brief illness. She was born Jan. 24, 1922, in Franklin, PA and had lived in Lorain since 1950. She retired from Lorain Products in 1987, where she worked as an assembler for over 24 years. She was a member of AARP and the Lorain Senior Center. She enjoyed shopping and watching soap operas. Survivors include her sons Paul of Lorain and David of Port Charlotte, FL; 11 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and brother Samuel Sutton of Washington, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lawrence E. in 1990; parents, William and Clara Belle (nee Huff) Sutton; brothers Sherman, Bill and Eli; and sisters Alice and Bertha.
