Well Sutton searchers I have to give the 1880 census back tomorrow. I've had a lot of fun with it. What I did, however, is to make a file for each state and put all the Sutton's for that state in it. This information was taken from the index, so the lists will not be in family order but in order of the year they were born. These files are pretty large. There were 20,793 Suttons on the 1880 US Census! This is too much information to post to the list, but if anyone wants a particular state, I will send it to you. As Wisconsin is a state where my Suttons settled, I did do the complete Wisconsin Sutton list (in order by family). You are welcome to this as well. The only disk missing from this set was Indiana. This is another state where my Suttons settled and I'm hoping my friend can find it so I can do my look-ups for that state. Till later Liz

All I have on Ed Sutton is what I posted in my query. My husbands family never could give us anything past Ed, and that is all they ever called him, Ed. We could not even get a birth or death for him. By the time we started working on his family most of the old ones were already gone & those living were old enough to not remember things. (My husbands father is Jack Walton listed below). I just don't know at the moment where to start looking for his parents and ancestors. We don't know if he was from Burlington, N.C. or b. there for sure. We were told that he was b. there, but I haven't found anything on this bit of info. We have no other leads whatsoever. We do know he was in GA. & FL. because he had a son (1) Jack Walton b.1 Feb. 1915, Macon, GA., (2) Edna Frances b. 8 Mar. 1922, Palm Beach, FL., (3) Julia Margurette b.21 Feb. 1923, Sanford, FL., (4) Jessie Eula Adella b.15 Dec. 1926, Orlando, FL. These are his 4 childre! n. We don't know if he md. a 2nd time or where his divorce is located, from Mary McIver. We know that Mary re-md. 2 more times after Ed. After the divorce he was lost track of and the family didn't know much about him after that. I don't know what connection we may have to you but any help would be greatly appreciated. Tanya
