The little girl, swallowed a quantity of carbolic acid while visiting with her mother, the Nichols at the Fortuna Mine north of Phoenix. The little girl was hurried to Phoenix for medical attention and later the same day was brought over here. The local physicians in charge of te case gave very little hope from the start. Mr. Sutton has been in Globe for some time. When the condition of the little girl was realized he was sent for by telegraph. He received the wire Thursday monring and rode to the end of the P. & E. hoping to catch that afternoon's train. He missed it by just a few minutes and was obliged to lay over there all that night. He arrived on yesterday afternoon's train. The funeral will be held this morning at nine o'clock from the Fellows home on Mcallister Street. The intemrent will be made in Double Butte Cemetery.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Disney, Sutton, Boyd, Fine Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wkQBAIB/2545 Message Board Post: I've been trying to find out more about my gggrandfather, William Briggs DISNEY, with scant succcess. However, in response to a post on the Crawford Co. AR Message Board made back in March, I got a reply last week from a SUTTON researcher, the ggranddaughter of his second wife, Lydia BOYD SUTTON. She says that Lydia and William married about 1884 (which means she can't find that darn marriage either!), and that they had two children! Lillie Ann DISNEY, Sept. l885 - July l, l981 and Bertha D. DISNEY, Nov. l9, l887 - Jan. l5, l944 Since Lillie died so late, and I didn't know if she married or not, I looked for a Lillie who was born in Sept 1885 and died in 1981 in the SSDI. And look who I found!: Lillie FINE, born 3 Sep 1885, died Jul 1981, last residence Rogers, Benton Co., AR 72756, last benefit Van Buren, Crawford Co., AR 72956, SSN 429-64-6579, issued in Arkansas. I heard from a FINE researcher, who confirmed that Lillie DISNEY married 27 Jan 1909 James LeGrand FINE (2 Feb 1883 - 20 Oct 1952 Crawford County, AR). I'm hoping to find a marriage record to confirm this. Kaye says, "They had at least 3 children and I have them in a 1920 census in Van Buren, Crawford County, AR." I located this entry in the census, and it is an awful page in the Ancestry images! Taped together, and altogether dreadful. But that does give me hope that some of these children are still alive somewhere. I did a Google search for "lilly fine", and look what I found: http://www.van-buren.com/history.html Lillie is mentioned right at the top of this wonderful page about the history of Van Buren: "Jame Monroe was the newly elected president of the United States and Arkansas was still a district of the territory of Missouri when David Boyd, first white man set foot on the future town site of Van Buren. "David Boyd was a log raiser and his arrival in 1818 was the first recorded event in the town's history. He lived until 1885. He has a living granddaughter, Mrs. Lillie Fine, whose mother was Lydia Ann Boyd Disney, the daughter of David Boyd. "The first white settler was Thomas Martin who arrived shortly after David Boyd. Martin was helped by Boyd to build his log house. Thomas Martin claimed squatters rights to the land, and a few people gathered around Martin and the place became a boat landing and a small settlement." <snip> Lillie Ann DISNEY, 3 Sep l885 - 1 Jul l981 Bertha D. Disney, 19 Nov l887 - 15 Jan l944 Daughters of William Briggs DISNEY and Lydia BOYD SUTTON who married about 1884, presumably in Crawford Co., although I've not found a marriage record so far. Lillie's husband, James LeGrand FINE was buried at Gracelawn Cemetery, Crawford County, AR. (He died 1952) I wonder if she lies beside him? I also searched World Connect, but got no results for Lillie Fine. I did, however, find her mother, Lydia BOYD SUTTON DISNEY, here: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/s/u/t/James-E-Sutton/GENE1-0004.html and here: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=boyd-trees&id=I024414 Valorie Zimmerman http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~valorie/Disney-L.htm
