Timothy, I would like to be able to access the private Sutton/Davis Family Web Page but would first like to know if your family's New Jersey Suttons came to America in 1634/35 onboard the Hercules. If I know this, I would be able to make a better decision about becoming a 'family member.'     3. PARKE COUNTY, INDIANA Obituaries "Rockville Republican" of Thursday, December 19, 1968: Rites Today for Electa T. Sutton Mrs. Electa T. Sutton of Judson, age 79, died in the Carmen nursing home in Crawfordsville, Monday morning, Dec. 16. She was a member of a Methodist church in Kentucky and of the Judson Baptist Ladies Aid Surviving are a son, Roscoe of Attica; a sister, Mrs. Ava Moore of Waveland; a grandson, Terre of Attica; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:00 at the Machledt and Services funeral home in Waveland. Burial will be in Mt Moriah cemetery near Hollandsburg.

She was born July 18, 1912, in Clinton, the daughter of Frank A. and Flossie Shivers Banning. She was a seamstress and worked for a number of years for Steele Cleaners. She was an avid bowler. She is survived by her son Jim Sutton, and wife, Nancy, Clinton; four grandchildren, Cathy, Joann, Jim and Bill Sutton; four great-grandchildren, Troy, Nicole, James Thomas and Tiffany Sutton, and one great-great-grandchild, Skylar Sutton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Willis Banning. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 17, in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, with Rev. Howard Cupp officiating. Burial was under the direction of the Consalus Funeral Home, Clinton.

    3. Cattaraugus County New York AN ESTEEMED PIONEER LAYS OFF THIS MORTAL HABILIMENT: MR. HENRY MARSH was born in Rockingham, Vermont, Nov. 22, 1820. He was one of a family of six children, four of whom survive him: GEORGE MARSH and MRS. ANNIE SIMMONS of Jessup, Ia.; MRS. ELIZABETH MARKS, Eldorado, Ia.; MRS. EMILY CRITTENDEN, Freeville, N.Y. He came to this town with his parents in 1827. In 1848 he was married to MISS LUCINA SUTTON, daughter of the late EUGENE SUTTON of West Yorkshire. MR. and MRS. MARSH celebrated their golden wedding on Feb. 24, 1989, something that but few are privileged to do. He is survived by his wife, son EUGENE and daughter, MRS. LETTIE VANOCKER, one daughter dying in infancy. MR. MARSH was a man highly esteemed in town for his many good qualities of heart and mind, and his family have the warm sympathy of a large circle of friends His death occurred Saturday, Nov. 19th, from a disease which baffled physicians. The obsequies occurred at his late home, Nov. 21, conducted by REV. J. SAYLES of East Aurora, from the words "Let not your hearts be troubled." Interment in Yorkshire Cemetery.

    3. James Robert Sutton OBITUARY Pub: McLeansboro Times, July 20, 1922 Hamilton Co. Illinois James R. Sutton Passed Away James Robert Sutton, son of Thomas and Susan Sutton, was born in Union County, Kentucky, April 11, 1856. Departed this life from his home in Hamilton County, Illinois, July 13, 1922, age 66 years, 3 months and 2 days. When only four years old his parents died, and until he had grown to manhood, he made his home with an aunt, Mrs. Hettie Sullinger. He came with the family to Hamilton County, when he was about nine years old. In 1874 Mr. Sutton was married to Lucinda Ro_nine. to them nine children were born. Two of the children died in infancy. One son, Marion, was killed upon the battle field of the World War. His wife Lucinda, passed away in March 1902. In 1904 he was united in marriage with Lucy Mayberry, and to them four children were born. Mr. Sutton professed faith in Christ in 1903, during a revival meeting held at Mt. Olive church. Although he never united with any church, he lived a Christian life until the end. He was industrious, a very kind and helpful neighbor, and will be greatly missed by all. His health has been failing for some time. When his last serious illness came upon him July 8th he soon became unconscious and did not regain consciousness. Besides his immediate relatives he leaves many friends who are sorrowing and sympathizing with the bereaved ones. The surviving relatives are, six daughters Mrs. Amy McDonald of McLeansboro, Mrs. Carrie Matheny of McLeansboro, Mrs. Hattie Hood of Pulare, Okla., Gerene, Cartha and Gertie, the younger daughters at hoe. Four sons, John of California, Virgil of Dixon, Ill., Fred of Pulare, Okla. and Olan, the youngest child at home. Thirteen grand children, one brother, Chas. Sutton of Sebree, Ky., and one sister, Mrs. Frank Wilson of McLeansboro. The funeral was held at his late residence 2 miles southwest of this city last Friday morning. Conducted by Rev. Robt. Morris and Rev. W. E. Bennett. The remains were laid to rest in the Odd Fellows Cemetery under the auspices of the McLeansboro I.O. O. F. Lodge of which he was an honored member.
