-----Original Message----- From: Daniel Jenkins [mailto:dan_jenkins66@hotmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, February 14, 2006 12:30 PM Cc: mallen96@flash.net Subject: George Sutton Folks , I have been meaning to contact you for many months. While in England last Spring researching my Ancestor Edward Jenkins who was bap. at St. Margaret , Bethersden , Kent on 12-14-1617, and also a servant of Nathaniel Tilden, I found in the registers of Biddenden nearby to Tenterden the following. Baps. 12-27-1607 George Sutton son of Robert, 12-19-1619 Simon son of Robert Sutton, 9-13-1612 Bernard son of Robert Sutton ,2-26-1614 Robert son of Robert Sutton. Marriages 10-13-1605 Robert Sutton married Mary Austin. I have a copy of the Tenterden registers and there are no entries for Sutton as posted on the internet. Also Nathaniel Tilden was married at Bethersden not Tenterden. If you havn't visited the area , you should . It is a beautiful countryside. As a note if you get to Scituate , you will find a large memorial to my Edward Jenkins in the "Men of Kent Cemetery" , which I designed and our Jenkins Family Reunion dedicated last September. Hope this helps. Dan Jenkins Native of Scituate / member" Assn. of Men of Kent and Kentish Men"
