Bonnie Sutton here, I am a descendant of William Mitchell Sutton & Clarissa, through their son David Sutton b. TN 1806, m. Margaret Messer. They had at least nine children all born in Haywood Co, NC as follows: +Solomon Sutton, b. July 15, 1837, d. January 02, 1894. William Sutton, b. 1829 Elizabeth Sutton, b. 1830 John Sutton, b. 1832 Henry Sutton, b. 1837 James Sutton, b. 1840 Silas Sutton, b. 1842 Sarah Sally Sutton b. 1844 Minerva Sutton, b. 1846 Soloman Sutton m. Dorcas Dills & they had a son William who married Sarah Jane Caldwell. She was either married or associated with a KENNINGTON and then a LEWIS in that area and was buried (DOD 5-12-1903) in the Cedar Creek Cemetery, Lee County, SC. My GGGG Grandfather came to Canada from Glasnamullen. His name was Anthony Sutton. I have reason to believe his parents were Thomas and Mary Sutton.

Have been trying to find out who are the parents of my g g grandad's but to no avail. I then thought that I would try through my g g grandma. Same problem. The info I have is JOSEPH SUTTON, b1807 married SUZANNAH MYERS, b1808. Marriage would be circa 1830. Both were supposedly born in PA. On two of their children's death certificate it says that their parents were born in Claysville and West Alexander, PA. I am unable to find any info on these two in the census in these areas or in Washington County PA. It makes one wonder if they were born in PA or possibly some other state. If anyone has any info on these two, I would appreciate hearing from you. Willy South Charleston, WV
