Surnames: Sutton & Husselbee Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/wkQBAIB/2802.1.1 Message Board Post: I have a Charles Sutton whose daughter Eliza was born in 1821 in Kingswinford, Staffordshire. Eliza married my GGG grandfather John Husselbee on March 2,1851 in Old Swinford, Wor. I don't know anything more about Charles Sutton except that I believe that he also had a son Charles who was living in the Wordsley area in 1881. Eliza and John Husselbee had 5 children; one of which was a daughter; Sarah Ann who moved in with her Uncle (Charles Sutton Jr.) in 1881 because both her parents had died and she was unmarried. I am looking for any Sutton or Husselbee family connections.

    3. For peoples information there is a Sutton Cemetery considered one of the oldest still in use cemetery in Douglas County, Ks. I do not know the family but as late as 2002 my late sister-in-law was buried there. From history in 1860 a man by the name of Brundage gave 2 1/2 acres of his land for burial of his daughter and JOHN D. SUTTON whose land joined Brundage on the west gave 2 1/2 acres. (dated 1865) gave to Methodist Episcopal Church. Trustees were Aaron Brundage, John D. Sutton, Wesley Ingle, Thomas Hall and Fountain C. Tomberlin. There are numerous Sutton generations listed. Found it odd though that for John D. Sutton it just gives age 83 years and Lucinda "wife" aged 86 years but no death date. If you have Sutton in near communities you may wish to contact someone in Douglas County to suggest whom to contact for burials of Suttons.

I would be particularly interested in information regarding the ancestors and descendants of Thomas Sutton and his wife Sarah, who had a son Henry b.1801 in London, England d.1886 in Camperdown, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Henry married an Ann Liddy/Liddiard/Liday on 28 September,1833 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia and they had a family of 11 children. It is my ultimate aim to have a worldwide family tree for all people of the SUTTON name. I would appreciate any family tree information from anyone in the world who shares this same name within their families as I hope to make connections with them all. If anyone wishes to send me information, either a Gedcom or a file attached to an email would be very welcome. 3. I am the grandaughter of Ralph Soloman Sutton Jr, born 1922 in Catalochee NC. I've been doing some research on the area in this time and it turns out shortly before he was born there (1910-1918) is the time when the federal government started soliciting the land owners there because they wanted to create the National Park area. Perhaps that is how he and his family ended up here in Georgia. Thanks for the info, please keep in touch!
