I have tried Stoughton but so far no luck. Like Sutherland here can mean the town or the shire it seems Stoughton is somewhat like. One tends to target in on the town/village not realising it may be a parish or a district. I have had the good fortune to find the local historian of Arklow in Ireland with great results. Lefayre.
