Greetings Listers In the SFHG online Baptism Index, my 7 x ggm, Mary REEVE, is listed (in Wartling) as d/o Simon REEVE: Entry from Wartling St Mary Magdalene 1539 - 1617 First names Mary Surname REEVE Sex d Baptism Date 08-Jun Year baptised 1601 Father first names Simon Father surname REEVE Mother surname REEVE Parish Wartling County East Sussex An older sibling is similarly described in 1598 and a twin and younger brothers also the same. However, in checking the Marriage Index CD, the apparent marriages of Simon in Wartling list him as Simon KEENE. I can imagine that old writing for REEVE and KEENE could look similar. Is anyone familiar with Wartling families please? These are the only entries for KEENE anywhere on the CD. As it is the second entry I'm interested in, I'm also looking for Margaret's maiden name as I haven't found her first marriage.
