My wife descended from the Greentree family who lived in West Sussex (traced back to Milland in the 16th century) suffers from Dupuytren Constricture, which has over the years curled her last two fingers towards the palm. A BBC program she heard some years ago, said that this was a possible sign of descent from a Viking. It is also a family myth that Greentree may denote Viking ancestry. I haven't been able to establish either of these assertions from other sources. There is quite a lot about Dupuytren's' on the Internet - Wikipedia gives quite good information and talks a bit about what is known about the background, Alison Sent from my iPhone On 12 Nov 2013, at 01:15, "Bill Moyle" <moylebill@bigpond.com> wrote: > My wife descended from the Greentree family who lived in West Sussex (traced > back to Milland in the 16th century) suffers from Dupuytren Constricture, > which has over the years curled her last two fingers towards the palm.
