I have just been shocked to learn of the sudden and untimely death of Sue Bayley on 14 November. Sue was the 'S' in S&N Genealogies and she and her husband Nigel were real trail blazers in supplying family tree programs and data sets. Later on, they created The Genealogist subscription site. Before S&N, you had to import any family tree programs from the USA, you simply couldn't buy them in the UK. I have been a customer of S&N for what must be nearly 20 years. S&N were regular exhibitors at family history fairs and their stands just grew and grew over the years, especially after they started to release the 1841 to 1901 census returns on CD sets by county. S&N were at the West Surrey Open Day at Woking on 26 October and I spoke to Sue about their planned new data releases for next year, and made the inevitable purchases of data Cd's to add to my collection. She seemed fine then, so news of her death seems all the more shocking. She will be greatly missed and my heart goes out to her husband and sons. Best wishes, Marion Woolgar Bognor Regis, West Sussex
