    1. [SXP] Barnard BOURN - 'Of Mawdlyne'
    2. PMR
    3. Greetings Listers When my 9 x ggf, Barnard (or Barnett) BOURN was buried at St Clement's Hastings on 29 Oct 1600, he was described as 'of Mawdlyne'. Could someone who is more familiar with Hastings that I am tell me what this refers to please? Other churches that I'm aware of existing at the time were All Saints' and possibly St Mary in the Castle. Could St Mary's have been dedicated to St Mary Magdalene (Mawdlyne) rather than any other Mary? If anyone else has BOURN connections in Hastings, I'd be delighted to hear from you. Many thanks Pam Beaudesert, Queensland, Australia.
