Linfield and Lindfield Family Reunion There are estimated to be only about 1000 people in the United Kingdom having the surnames Linfield, Lindfield or Lingfield and many of them will be converging on the town of Horsham, Sussex on September 15th for a special family gathering and exhibition.   The occasion will be the annual meeting of the Lin(d)field One Name Group, a family history society dedicated to researching these surnames, which will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year at the Barn, in The Causeway. The Group has about 70 members around the world, all descended from one of just 9 ancestors. The meeting will be open to anyone with Linfield or Lindfield connections. It will start at 11.00 and finish at 17.00 and there will be displays about the various branches of the families and the opportunity to meet distant cousins. Visitors will be able to look at our web pages and copies of our publications, and for those who do not know which branch they belong to, we will have copies of the database and other records and will be happy to find your Lin(d)field relatives and connect you to one of the branches.  A number of computers will be on hand to collect information to add to the Group’s database of some 95,000 people called Lin(d)field or related to those families.
