I have a John LEPPARD probably born in Horsham around 1772 (parents possibly John and Elizabeth) and married Mary WHITMORE? in 1802. I then have a note saying that after two children were born in Horsham (John about 1803 and Philadelphia about1805) they moved to Nuthurst. However the only record I can find in Nuthurst are a John LEPPARD and Mary WALES, and I think they may have had three children in the years after 1805; so the dates fit but not the name of Mary. Could they be the same? Family search shows the two different marriages so it is unlikely they are the same, although John and Mary WALES were married in Rusper - how close is this to Horsham and Nuthurst? Does anyone have the records who could check the entries and also see if there are any records for John and Mary WHITMORE in Nuthurst after 1805. Any help gratefully received.
