Dear Listers, I may be coming rather late to this discussion, and you may already have been told this: Angmering was at one stage split into two parishes, East and West Angmering. THe parish church of East Angmering was about 100 yards east of St Margarets, the parish church for West Angmering. St Margarets seems to have won some ecclesiastical tussle, and still stands. East Angmering's church is now represented by a block of masonry in public garden on the opposite side of the road to St Margarets. Angmering is now a single undivided parish. Hugh Simmons
