    3. Hello, ooops that info might have helped eh? Ellen Anne Richardson was born about 1869 and I have no idea about her mother's name or any other siblings, hoping to learn that. I know that Ellen Anne Richardson married John Thomas Spice on 02 Sept 1893 in St Clemens Hastings. John Thomas died in 1927 and Ellen in 1934. Would love to learn more about their family as well. They had one daughter Harriett Ellen Spice born on 29 June 1894 that I know of and many more or so the family stories go. I think that William may have died before 1891 as I can't see a possible entry. There are a number of Ellen Richardsons. Any other info - her mother's name etc? cheers, Anne > From: militarywife02@hotmail.com> To: sussex-plus-l@rootsweb.com> Date: Sun, 23 Sep 2007 11:16:47 +0000> Subject: [SXP] RICHARDSON, William Henry (1891 census)> > > Good Day Listers, > I am looking for information on a William Henry RICHARDSON, he would have been my 3xgreat grandfather.> The only info I have is from his daughter Ellen Richardson's marriage certificate, St Clements Hastings Sept 02, 1893. 3. Hi again, Tricky one this. Using the FreeBMD list on Ancestry and making a few assumptions I think that William may have died before the 1871 census. This is what I think I have found so far: Ellen Richardson registered birth Sept qtr 1869 Hastings vol 2b page 15 William Richardson marriage Dec qtr 1868 Hastings vol 2b page 32 - to Ellen Hoad. I would start by sending for these two certs. If these are correct then I have found Ellen with her mother in 1881 and 1891 - will send images anyway off list. I cannot find them in 1871 but it is possible that William died Sept qtr 1871 (Hastings vol 2b page 12). Have also found her in 1901. I have found a birth and death for a William Henry Richardson but he would still have been alive in 1871. But as I can't find them anyway this is always possible: birth Sept qtr 1844 Hastings vol 7 page 356 death Sept qtr 1878 Hastings vol 2b page 11 If this is the right William he was a shipwright in 1861 - would a carpenter fit this description? I guess most boats were made of wood then. let me know what you think. cheers, Anne From: militarywife02@hotmail.comTo: alc_goytre@hotmail.com; sussex-plus-l@rootsweb.comSubject: RE: [SXP] RICHARDSON, William Henry (1891 census)Date: Sun, 23 Sep 2007 13:43:17 +0000 Hello, ooops that info might have helped eh?Ellen Anne Richardson was born about 1869 and I have no idea about her mother's name or any other siblings, hoping to learn that.
