    3. Hi Sheila, Kelly's Directory 1911 lists the occupant as Alfred H Chayter, Queen's Lodge, Hurst Green, Etchingham. On www.old-maps.co.uk I cannot find a Queen's Lodge but there is/was a Queen's Hotel to the south of the centre of the village. On the later maps there are two houses called Lodge. I have flicked through 1901 census and cannot find a Queen's Lodge. sorry can't help any further. cheers, Anne > From: sheila@sheilapriest.wanadoo.co.uk> To: SUSSEX-PLUS@rootsweb.com> Date: Sat, 15 Sep 2007 23:08:08 +0200> Subject: [SXP] Tolley> > I am doing some research for my brother-in-law Chris Tolley whose grandfather was Henry James Tolley, known as Harry. Apparently Harry was a butler in 1913 living at a place called Queens Lodge in Hurst Green. We can't find any information about Queens Lodge and I was wondering if anyone can help.> Any help gratefully received.> Sheila > > -------------------------------> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SUSSEX-PLUS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message _________________________________________________________________ Celeb spotting – Play CelebMashup and win cool prizes https://www.celebmashup.com
