Hello Sussex Plus Listers, I have a need for a solution to a marriage data question and hope someone with access to Henfield PR's can help. Michael Thorns bn West Grinstead married a Mary Knight bn Henfield March Qtr 1849 at St Georges Southwark, and the couple show in the 1851 Census at Brighthelmstone. Michael appears to have died December Qtr 1856 at Brighthelmstone and there is no 1861 Census data for him in 1861. There is a marriage for a Mary Thorns to a Thomas Allwork Dec Qtr 1860 and a Cenus report in 1871 with Mary Allwork wife age 41 showing a birth place of Henfield. There is a good probability ththese two mary's are one and the same but I need PR data for rhe Allwork marriage to see if Mary was a widow or what her fathers name was.
