Tony, if you have access to the 1901 census images ie from Ancestry, at the top of the page make a note of the district number, the page you are on then and click onto the link next to it. This should bring up the list of districts plus the enumerators description of the route he took. I have used this many times to find that obscure lane, court or street of the period which has now long disappeared, even way back to the 1851 census. Hope this helps cheers Bob in Australia ----- Original Message ----- From: "tony baker" <tony@tbakerakf.orangehome.co.uk> To: <sussex-plus@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 10, 2007 10:15 PM Subject: [SXP] North Wall Lewes, a correction My apologies to Anne and others who responded to my last posting, it should have read Green Wall, Lewes and not as I previously stated: North Wall. I'd still be grateful if anybody is able to let me know just where this thoroughfare was/is. Many thanks Tony
