Greetings, I wondered if someone could help with finding an address in Hastings? On a death certificate, I have the address of 8b Bourne Walk, Hastings. I looked on the present day map and couldn't locate it. Is it still there I am working on my Granny's lost family....'TUBBS' ...that lived in St.Leonards and Hastings up to that point , but seemed to have disappeared from then on. The 3 kids ( and recently found out that there were more) were sent to an orphanage and eventually came to Canada. Granny would never speak of her time in the home and destroyed all records. I have searched from that point forward for deaths of her parents, to no avail. I even had the Sussex group to hunt for a grave site...but none showed up. The family is as follows: ALBERT E. TUBBS - father - b. 1877 CHARLOTTE LAVINIA TUBBS (no marriage record, so may be under her maiden name of ROSE) -b. 1875 REGINALD TUBBS -b. 1903 ALICE TUBBS - b. 1906 WILLIAM TUBBS - b. 1910 My interest in finding the address is, that it might be a worthwhile investment to order the 1911 census.
