Hi, the parish registers of Westbourne have been transcribed and are on the open shelves at West Sussex Record Office, unfortunately the record office is closed for stocktaking until the 17th of December. Emsworth is in Hampshire, on the border with West Sussex so you would have to find out from Hampshire Record Office. Thanks Heather, I was wondering why Emsworth could not be found in the online 1911 directory for Sussex, then I realised it was close to Hampshire border, and there was the village in the corresponding Hampshire one. Fortunately I found later the deaths of Malcolm in Thanet (Kent) and John in Lewisham (London) in the 1883-2005 index, so perhaps one of the informants a grandson of Henry and Lilly may eventually fill in the gaps. cheers Bob ----- Original Message ----- From: "Heather Brooks" <heather.brooks@virgin.net> To: "bob campbell" <rcampbell3@optusnet.com.au>; <SUSSEX-PLUS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, December 13, 2007 8:19 AM Subject: Re: [SXP] Henry STACY WW1 veteran in Westbourne Hi, the parish registers of Westbourne have been transcribed and are on the open shelves at West Sussex Record Office, unfortunately the record office is closed for stocktaking until the 17th of December.
