Hello Listers I have details of Alfred ROBINS, s/o Charles ROBINS and Mary née WARES, as follows: In the 1841 Census, he listed with his parents as 'of 7 West Street, Chichester, aged 20'. In the 1851 Census, there is an Alfred ROBINS listed, with wife Lucy, living with his parents at West Street, Chichester, aged 34. Lucy's age is given as 33, born Nutbourne, Sussex. Alfred's age gives him a birth year around 1816/1817. I haven't been able to locate the marriage on FreeBMD. However, in the PRs of St Peter the Great, Chichester, I found the burial, on 11 Dec 1846, of Alfred ROBINS from West Street, aged 27 years. This death appears on the FreeBMD List, the Ref being Chichester 7-257. 27 in Dec 1846 would give a birth year of 1819. Charles and Mary are definitely of West Street in the 1851 Census. Am I going round the bend or something? Maybe there was a second Alfred ROBINS in West Street, Chichester in the 1840s. Any suggestions anyone to help sort me out? Please? Many thanks.
