Dear Listers, Thought you might like to know that Ancestry is planning on launching the UK Inbound Passenger Lists 1878-1960 in mid 2008. They contain "the names of 18 million immigrants and tourists who arrived in the United Kingdom over the course of almost a century from destinations outside Europe and the Mediterranean... The one million pages that comprise the UK Inbound Passenger Lists are organised by port of arrival and may include information such as name, age, occupation and intended address in the UK. Also included may be the purpose of the journey, the name of the ship, its owner and port of origin". I've no interest in Ancestry other than I am a subscriber who will be very pleased to access these records!
