I have posted an earlier query with great response & help from many particularly Heather Brooks. I am trying to find the baptism of Edward Jenner born circa 1806. His parents Stephen Jenner & Ruth Hammond were married 1798 at Wartling. Edward's brothers were born at Chiddingly:- Richard 1801, William 1803, Trayton 1805 and George 1812. There is a bit of a gap 1805-1812, was Edward baptised elsewhere during this period? Incidentally Richard married Sophia Brook in 1822 and Trayton married Tryphena Harmer 1827, both marriages at Chiddingly. Edward himself married Ann Brook in 1828 at Waldron and after Ann's death in 1842 he married Philadelphia Sanns in 1843 in Chiddingly. (After stealing 2 sheep in 1844 Edward was transported to Tasmania for 15 years and never returned.) Edward and some of his brothers appear in the Chiddingly census for 1841. I will be happy to hear from anyone researching this family, particularly if I can find Edward's birth. Any help & guidance would be much appreciated.
