    1. Re: [SXP] HMS Triad
    2. Hi Just a codicil to my question about HMS Triad. I had a sudden brainwave (don't know why I didn't think of it earlier) and checked the naval records available on the National Archives site. I found the records for Arthur FOLLINGTON and they showed that her did serve on HMS Triad but in 1918, twenty years before the submarine was commissioned. I had been thrown by several sites which claimed the navy only ever had one ship by that name. Further research has shown that there was a yacht called HMS Triad which served a small part in the landings at Gallipoli in WW1. This must have been the ship that Arthur later served on. I'm not sure what a "yacht" is in naval terms. I have visions of a small ship under full sail but that seems unlikely in 1914. If anyone can enlighten me further I'd be grateful.
