Hi, I was wondering if someone is able to please help me. I have a Thomas LAMPARD according to the IGI on the LDS website born 1797 Hartfield, Sussex. Is someone able to find his date of birth and who his parents are please. He married Judith Jane Edwards on 10.5.1833 at St. Michael, Lewes, Sussex. Hoping someone is able to help. Thanks Roslyn.

Hi Roslyn The entry on the IGI is an LDS submission and given that the informant may not have known the exact details may be wrong (birth dates are rare at that time, usually Baptism date is the best you can hope for) The same LDS member seems to have claimed a George (1826) and a William (1827) LAMPARD of Hartfield as the children of Thomas & Judith, given they married in 1833 perhaps Thomas married before Judith or they are the children of another Thomas (there is a Thomas & Elizabeth in Hartfield) The batch number for Hartfield is C148281 which covers 1648 - 1812 but there are no LAMPARDs (or anything like it) So I suspect that you will need to spread your net a little wider There are two children baptised at Hartfield that appear on the BVRI LAMPARD, Henry John Christening Sex: Male Christening Date: 27 Nov 1836 Recorded in: Hartfield, Sussex, England Father: Thomas LAMPARD Mother: Judith Source: FHL Number 1067265 Dates: 1813-1881 LAMPARD, James Christening Sex: Male Christening Date: 25 Aug 1833 Recorded in: Hartfield, Sussex, England Father: Thomas LAMPARD Mother: Judith Source: FHL Number 1067265 Dates: 1813-1881 There does not appear to be any LAMPARDs or similar in the 1841 at Hartfield so perhaps they left these shores before the census?
