    3. Regarding the question and comment below, I've used PayPal to pay or be paid on Ebay and to transfer money to friends abroad. I've had no problem with it and no-one I know has had problems. However, like general banking, there are a few people who do encounter problems and these problems get heavily publicised making out that the bank, Paypal etc. is untrustworthy. It's a tiny percentage and, like all things in life, nothing is 100% safe.
