Our lovely team of volunteers are pleased to announce that the Complete 1871 Census for Sussex is now on line at FreeCEN.org.uk, where you can search it without charge. This means that the 1891, 1871, 1861 and 1881 (thanks to the LDS) are now all there for free. We have already moved on to the 1851 Census; new volunteer transcribers are always welcome, so if you're looking for a way to pass the long dark winter evenings, and would like to give back a little to the family history community please contact us via the link below.
