    3. Greetings Listers I'm typing up a transcript of a story concerning a family connection, but there's a note saying that a phrase in Dutch is not clear. It refers to a vessel called "The Three Sisters". Can anyone tell me if this is the correct Dutch for that name please? If not, what should it be? De Dric (or Drie) Se Susetrs Many thanks Pam Beaudesert, Queensland, Australia

    3. Hi Pam My gut reaction is that this came from some robot translation. Or a mistranscription if some of the paint were missing from the name on the ship. (For instance Dric instead of Drie) The nearest I can imagine would be De Drie Zusters OR to make it more fittingly archaic De Drie Gezusters. No way is De Dric (or Drie) Se Susetrs any sort of Dutch. Any sort of language, even. :) Also, I just tried googling and both come up in references to (Dutch) ships, dates 1906, 1747 and more. I didn't look at the entries in detail, as you would know which if any is appropriate to your story.
