    3. Perhaps this will come under PLUS! Have been sorting out a box off goodies.. something to do on a strong windy day here in NZ. Now, this goes back to another message I would have had a few years back on CUCKFIELD and my old school in Upper Norwood, Virgo Fidelis taking over Meadfoot, I have come across another piece of history and its is with Haywards Heath at the same time, WW2 with Fidelis, appears Meadfoot wasn't big enough for all the pupils and Nuns so they went to PASTUREHILL, one word if correct? At Lucastes Avenue. Haywards Heath. In 1940 (I wasn't born to 1943 and attended Fidelis from 1950 in Upper Norwood) says it was more substantial house, with big grounds, including a lake, some woods two tennis courts and a little swimming pool. For beginners. It also had a bungalow which the Nuns took over as their "Convent" so they had a little privacy at last! Between the Convent and the house was a big garage which became the chapel, where Mass was said on Sundays but if we wanted to during the Week we still had to go into Haywards Heath. Is this place still there please, and wonder if there is any mention anywhere about Fidelis being there? I wonder how long the Convent folk were there. Meadfoot name reminds me off a children book about ponies, was it written by Monica Dickens? I know Denise Robins attended Fidelis and she was an author.. not sure if spelt Robins or Robyns.. or.. Sounds a magnificent place Pasturehill! Or is Pasture Hill correct. Thanks Adele Clareville NZ
