Greetings Listers I have found a note listing Thomas Daniel as an Elector of George Street, St Clement's Parish (Hastings in Sussex) in 1836/7, with the addition of 'owned Nos 13, 14, 15 George Street and 2 others'. Was ownership of property a pre-requisite to being an Elector at that time? Can someone enlighten me please? Many thanks. Pam Beaudesert, Queensland, Australia
