I visited WSRO today and took your request for a look-up in the Up Marden Marriage Register with me. Unfortunately, there is no marriage between John BUDDEN and Harriett READ to be seen in it during 1844, or for +/- five years around it. So I concluded that either the date or place were wrong. That is where the matter would have ended, but during the lunch break I remembered that The Marden's are well represented on the IGI. Sure enough it was listed, but at East Marden.
