Hi Jan, I have Gurrs in my family from Sussex . Joseph Gurr 1824 from St. Michael Lewes married Mary Roberts 1819 from Seaford. His parents were George Gurr & Keturah Young, their parents being Henry Gurr & Mary Ranger. Joseph came to Adelaide with his brother Joshua in 1839. At least I know Joshau did, not quite sure if Joseph came with him. Don't know if this helps you Shirley Risely Macclesfield S Aust.
