Hi there, I would be interested to make contact with anyone researching AYLING's in Sussex..... Particularly Emily AYLING - born 1840 - Rogate West Sussex. She was the daughter of William and Martha AYLING. On the 1861 Census she was down as working at the House of John GOSDEN in Midhurst, On the 1871 Census, she seems to be working as a Servant for the TAIT family at Timbercombe, Spaxton, Bridgewater. Records suggest that Emily gave birth to Percy AYLING in 1873 in the Hanover Square area of London - presumably unmarried!
