William HOKIN was born in Chichester, Sussex. circa 1790 and died from drowning in Perth, Western Australia on 17 Dec 1831. He moved to Hampshire prior to 1813 and with his wife and 7 children migrated to Perth on the ship "Parmelia" in which were transported the first settlers of the British Colony of Western Australia which arrived there on 1 Jun 1829.
