I have found all the comments interesting. I have a 1831 removal of Ruth Budd aged 17 from Burwash to Lewes St Thomas at Cliffe. I haven't been able to gain baptism information at this time but her parents are mentioned so it seems likely she is connected to my Budd family. What I find curious is that if I am correct her family lived in Burwash although her father may have been dead by then. Any thoughts. These Budds are a proving to be a difficult brick wall to chip away at. Barbara in NZ
