Annie Maria LAVENDER was born 7 February 1866, Hailsham Sussex to George Lavender and Elizabeth Hannah Foster. Annie married George SMITH 1892 in Portsea. (he was a stoker on the HMS Crocodile at the time of marriage) She died 1948, (June quarter) in Hailsham Sussex. I don’t know if she had any children, but was possibly living in Sackville Road Hailsham. (Im waiting for the certificate to arrive from the PRO) Does anyone have a connection with SMITHs in Sackville Road from about 1905 to 1948 please? I have further information on Annie's siblings. Hi, in the 1901 census Annie Maria Smith is a boarder at 4, Sophia Place, Portsmouth. Her occupation is a nurse ? , this word is most likely monthly as Walter and Bertha Fulcher have 2 children plus a 16 day old baby.
