I am researching my MENZIES line and my gt Aunt Mary Ann MENZIES married a John MORRIS. In 1891 they were living at 393 Commercial Road, Portsea. They had two children, Margaret Johanna who died in the December Quarter of 1891 aged 6 and John Stewart. John MORRIS died in the September Quarter of 1897 and Mary Ann then married Harry KEMP in the March Quarter of 1899. In 1901 they are living at 399 Commercial Road. In 1901 John Stewart was a boarder aged 11 at Mann House School, Fairfield Road, Havant. John Stewart MORRIS married Laura COBDEN in 1912. I believe that they had at least two children, Thomas E registered December Quarter 1912 and Elsie M registered March Quarter 1914, both at Chichester. Laura was the daughter of Edward and Agnes COBDEN. In 1891 the family were living in Portsmouth, Edward is stated as being born Halifax North America and is aged 42 and a licensed victualler, living at 66 Elm Road, children listed are Emily aged 19, Annie aged 17, George aged 15, Edward aged 7, Thomas aged 6, Laura aged 4 and Albert aged 3. In 1901 only their son Edward aged 18, son Thomas aged 17 and Laura aged 14 are at that address. Agnes and all the children are listed as born Portsea. Does anyone have connections to the MORRIS family as above?
