Hi Phil, The name Dewdney may also show up as Dudeney on the IGI and in parish registers. I have Dudeney's in Henfield in the early 1600's. You might want to get hold of the Henfield records. You might find who you are looking for as it's only 2 miles from Shermanbury. Lorna
